1956 – Private Road on Title
Existence of Verey Lane, most likely named after Morwell Businessman Harold Verey.
1984 – Subdivision Approved
In 1984, the Shire of Morwell attempted to resolve the landlocked nature of Verey Lane by purchasing a title easement of carriageway, this was in line with the subdivision application and development requirements for 24, 26, and 28 Buckley Street. The former Shire of Morwell subsequently approached the State Electricity Commission, who owned 173-177 Princes Drive, regarding formalisation of an easement of carriageway that was to be created over the rear of the property as part of LP 33695. As stated previously, the easement of carriageway was acquired for $6,000.00 together with additional costs of approximately $1,000.00 and this was finalised in November 1984.

2015 – DOCUMENTS FOR SIGNING AND SEALING
16 NOVEMBER 2015 (CM474) – 17.3 DOCUMENTS FOR SIGNING AND SEALING – TRANSFER TO JANNESDALE PTY LTD AND MOODVILLE PTY LTD EXECUTIVE SUMMARY At its meeting held on 6 May 1985, the former Shire of Morwell resolved to discontinue part of Verey Lane, Morwell, and transfer the land to the adjoining property owner by private agreement. This section of the laneway, measuring approximately 60 square meters, was formally discontinued via a notice in the Victoria Government Gazette on 1 April 1987. It is unclear why the transfer of this land was never finalised by the former Shire of Morwell however it has since been built upon by the owners of 165 Princes Drive, Morwell. To rectify this oversight it is intended that the land be transferred and consolidated with the property. Given the size and location of this parcel of land it is proposed that it be transferred for a nominal consideration subject to the property owner meeting all survey and legal costs associated with the transfer. Beveridge Williams, on behalf of the property owners, submitted a plan of consolidation (PC 362814W) to incorporate this land into 165 Princes Drive, Morwell. Certification and Statement of Compliance for this application were issued on 17 November 2014.
